Constant Beast Mode! What a great feeling it will be to walk through that door! Thanks for sharing this journey with all of us. I know it’s not over but it has been very inspiring so far. Keep up the positivity!
This is THE BEST video!! What a journey you and your family have been on. Todays Homecoming will be such good "medicine" for all of you. Congrats on all of your hard work, perseverance and pure determination to get to this point.
ADAM - thank you for that, so amazing. I am beyond excited for the Feberwee family for you to get to this next part of your recovery. To be able to hug the kids and be around that amazing family will give you so much energy. Brace for a powerful afternoon! Love to all.
Very inspirational clip. Great to see so many smiling faces almost from day number one. Shows you again that “It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters”! Seems that you will be the one doing grocery shopping from now on; they clearly prepared you in the hospital for that. As they did for cleaning the house and potentially washing the car (“wax on, wax off”). On a more serious note, all the best man the coming months. It might not be always smiles, but if anyone can recover it is you! Talk soon!

Starting the blog! Ive often thought about starting a blog ......but what should I write about? If you’re reading this, you know that last Thursday I suffered a stroke....things were going to be different for a while. The outpouring of support has been overwhelming. People have been sending us messages and emails expressing their concern and support during this difficult time. We are trying our best to keep everyone updated on my progress...and that’s when it dawned on us ....Blog about my recovery! Seems like the easiest way to keep those that are interested, updated on my recovery. It will also be good for me to see my progress and how far I’ve come. It will also give me something to do when I’m not busy rehabbing. So… Follow along if you’re interested. And please keep the messages of encouragement coming...they will be the fuel to my comeback! -Adam
Saturday August 22nd I waited a long time for this moment. A moment I’ll never forget. We all cried, we all hugged, we all needed it. Released back into the wild at 3:30 on Thursday afternoon... Jillian was there to take me home. From the moment I went into the hospital until the moment I left, she was always there when I needed her. I had the best welcoming committee there to greet me. The kids made the most amazing signs and cards… Aqua therapy has been fantastic! It has definitely been an adjustment coming home. More so than I thought it would be. The frustration of having to ask for help with everything. I mean everything. Definitely need to take time to rest. Gone from puttering around my hospital room, to having to navigate the house and yard. Friday: A couple of errands that HAD to get done on my first full day at home… Went to the DMV with dad šš and LensCrafters to get some new reading glasses š¤. Not sexy but like I said...
Monday July 13th The Healing Begins! My first full day at Oakville hospital was a busy one. I had a follow up CT, chest x-ray, bubble echo cardiogram, and leg Doppler. It was also my first day working with the physiotherapist and an occupational therapist. They assessed my weaknesses, and then started to develop a plan to strengthen me. The highlight for me was getting out for a walk in the hallway with the assist of a walker. Learning to walk all over again As if it can get any better than that!!!! WELL IT DID! Jillian snuck me out of the hospital in a wheelchair and we called Anneke and she rushed up to see us with the kids. It was my first time seeing the kids since I’d been whisked away in front of them on a stretcher into an ambulance. It felt so good to hug them. And they made me some beautiful get well card that’s it in my window now.
Welcome home, Adam! Going to be the best homecoming ever!
